I finally got my visa and flight information from my employer. Wahoo! I’m leaving a day earlier than scheduled. At some point I should start packing. I’ll begin in earnest this weekend. It shouldn’t be too difficult (famous last words?). I packed up my teeny, tiny Korean apartment and a year’s worth of crap in less than 2 weeks. This should be infinitely easier since I can always store whatever I don’t need immediately at my Mom’s house.

Things have been very quiet here on LiveTravelMore and for good reason. I finished my last leg of family vacations with a trip to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
I have sunned and been soaked on the sand of Virginia Beach. Thanks, hurricane season.
One of the last events I did to celebrate my 30th birthday was the Rugged Maniac 5K.
That’s 3.1 miles sprinkled with over 22 obstacles such as wading through mud filled shipping containers, crawling through mud pits with barbed wire, and climbing rickety walls made of some stuff your retired drill sergeant uncle found in a hardware store.
I celebrate my birthday the entire month of June. Since this year was my 30th birthday, I packed the month with some fun activities and firsts around NYC. Settle in. This is a long one and it’s picture heavy. 🙂
Today, I finally had the guts to let my heart’s desires be known. Firmly and directly, I asked for what I truly wanted then waited for an answer. One one thousand… Two one thousand… Three one thousand… Four. The seconds passed by slowly. My heart rate quickened. A faint smile flashed, re-appeared and lingered, then disappeared before lips were parted again. The answer? The answer?!
